About Erins Own Sacred Heart GAA

Erin's Own, Waterford's oldest GAA club, based in Poleberry, are one of the counties most successful GAA clubs. Erin's Own have a long standing tradition in both codes of the GAA, offering a juvenile section, from our "Young Puckers", all the way up to U16, as well as a minor team. Our adult section offers an intermediate and junior hurling team, as well as a junior football team. We possess a proud list of All-Ireland hurling winners across many levels and age grades, stretching back to 1948 where our own Jim Ware captained the side to senior success, all the way to the modern era where Jamie Shanahan played a vital role in the 2025 Waterford All-Ireland minor win.

Erin's own also have a strong LGFA (ladies football) section, playing predominantly in the Williamstown Sports Complex. The club has been largely successful in recent years in both juvenile and adult grades, and have contributed many players to the Waterford LGFA senior team and under-age development squads. Similarly to the GAA branch of the club, the LGFA offer teams to all age groups from the nursery section, all the way up to a junior and senior team.
